Beautiful Cooking Spaces!

Comments
I just spent a few hours cleaning our little kitchen.  And I used one of the washcloths I recently knitted!  Hot pink & made by me -- that helped cleaning to be a bit more cheery!  I took everything out of the fridge & freezer to clean it well, I mopped, I did it all!  Spending all this time in the kitchen inspired me to post photos of some very beautiful kitchens!  One day, I'll have one that isn't in a government-leased house, a kitchen that I can really make our own!  And hopefully it will be a bit bigger than the one we have now :)  I dream of stainless steel appliances, a nice big island with a wood cutting board counter top, pretty cabinetry with frosted glass fronts, & definitely 110 volt electrical outlets so that I never have to creatively hide power transformers on the counters again :)

--- Fancy & classy, timeless & beautiful ---  The mirrored cabinets in the first photo are gorgeous! ---

--- Colorful & cheery, making good use of space --- The checkered floor, the fun light fixture in the second photo! ---

--- Patterns & stripes, colorful & clean --- Oh, what a pop of color can do for a room! ---

--- Soft & relaxing, or...my kitchen right now, complete with Lucius the Dane puppy! --- I think this last kitchen, before my own, might be my favorite of the bunch!  The dark wood, the color of the stools by the island, the pretty touches of the cabinets!  Elegant, cozy, but definitely not plain! ---

What is your kitchen like?  And better yet, what does the kitchen of your dreams look like?!  Timeless class or fun & bold style?!

Fabulous Rooms: Como Hideaway Villa

Comments
Oh my goodness, how beautiful is this Villa on Lake Como in Italy? The perfect hideaway.  If I were here, I would be tucked into a cozy nook enjoying my book, with my hunny by my side, of course!  Trips across the lake to the beautiful towns, dinners by candlelight, evening swims in the pool, & waking up each morning to that gorgeous view!  But this luxury comes at a price -- about $100,000 a week!!  So, get all of your friends together & split the price, right?! ;)

I found these photos while researching Lake Como homes, & I couldn't wait to share it!  Everything about this place makes me swoon, from the lush wall colors & beautiful fabrics to the breathtaking views & romantic ambiance.  This would be the perfect place to dream, to relax, to do whatever you please!

I hope that you all enjoy these room photos as much as I do!  You never know when you'll see something that inspires you to redecorate your own rooms!  Or travel ♥

Enjoy your Sunday evening & have a wonderful start to your new week!

Fabulous Rooms: Versace's Lake Como Home

Comments
I really love interior design -- the colors, the fabrics, the furniture, the way of arranging it all to make a cozy & interesting room. And since I also love travel, well, why not share some beautiful rooms from some of my favorite locations?!  The following photos are of Gianni Versace's home at Lake Como, Italy.  Well, his former {& favorite} home.  Parties thrown here saw guests such as Princess Diana, Sting, & Elton John, just to name a few.  Can you imagine being able to sneak into that luxurious event?!  The home itself is a bit above my cozy taste, but I do like the green loveseat in the last photo!

Photos from Luxuo & TazCafe

I just finished watching "A Month By The Lake", an older Uma Thurman movie that was filmed at Lake Como, Italy, which Don & I visited with his parents last August!  What gorgeous scenery with breathtaking views of the Italian Alps sloping down to dip their toes into the clear blue water!  I must say that there are many more beautiful villas to show you, but they will have to wait ♥  That is, if you would like for me to share them!  Perhaps I will keep them to myself & stay there on my next visit!
