House Dreams

I found myself wandering through the house yesterday after my failed attempts at hanging up the last of our pictures. Oh, to have normal drywall again instead of these cement walls! As I wandered, I thought (more like dreamed!) about what I want the house to look & feel like! Dreams of curtains & cozy places to sit & a beautiful garden! Maybe I'll end up painting?!  Here are some pictures that are inspiring me, or at least making me dream :)

A gorgeous mix of peonies & blue hydrangeas.  I'd love to find these to plant on either side of my fuschia hibiscus bushes in the yard!  I've been thinking about these for a while...

How gorgeous is this?!  It reminds me a lot of the climbing roses that I see all over Germany, on the sides of homes or stores or fences.  Oh, to look out into your own backyard & see this!

Stacks of books & a vase of fresh pink peonies -- yumm!

How cozy is this bedroom?  I'd like this to be our Guest Room, please!

I'd love to sew drapes for our four-poster bed -- something like this!  Lots of white, very soft, hints of gold...

*sigh*  Next steps: Find a good nursery, buy a sewing machine, decide whether or not to paint, & locate a nice fabric store!  Wish me luck!!  I will do all that I can with our Government Housing in Germany!  It's already feeling pretty cozy anyway :)  There's no place like home!
