Yesterday, all of our worldly possessions (save a few things that are packed away in our trucks!) were carefully packed up, stacked in crates on a huge flatbed truck, and moved out! It took about 8 hours of work and was quite chaotic! Although Don & I didn't do anything at all, despite asking to, it was still such a busy day. Don actually was able to take care of a lot of errands on post while I supervised :)
Today, we cleaned our apartment & handed in our keys. What a strange feeling! In six months time, we have already moved in & our of our first apartment! I keep thinking that many years from now we will think back to how wonderful this all was, back when we were newlyweds :) But at the same time, it is so exciting to think about all that we have ahead of us! Ah! So much to look forward to, & being together throughout life's adventures is the greatest thought of all!
Tonight....I will be shaving Don's head for Ranger School. *gasps!* I know...kinda sad! But I won't even be there to see him, & as he's told me many times, "It will make showering so fast!" True true.
Tomorrow we set out on our road trips, each going a separate direction. It's been a long time since we've done this, & neither of us are looking forward to it. We're both tough, though, & despite the difficulty that being apart for 2 months will bring, it will be worth it! Don is doing a tremendous job & I couldn't be more proud of him!
So here we sit in on post lodging at Fort Sill, all of our things headed for a ship somewhere, and prepping to be away from each other for 2 months. We sure do keep things exciting, don't we?! :)
