For Christmas, I'd like no more snow, please. And also, while I'm at it, a sweet camera that takes crystal clear pictures! AND, most of all, for my husband to miraculously be able to come home 6 months early...that would mean he'd be here already ;)

My Mom & I went to Target the other day & I was very unintentionally cracking her up. "Look at all these candles! Oh my goodness, they have a lot of picture frames! You guys have so many different flavors of Coffee Mate!" I'm back in the land of shopping & endless choices & possibilities! No more of this "everything closes at 5 or 6 PM" business. No more of this, "If they don't carry it at the PX, I'm not exactly sure where I can find it next" news. My goodness, there are so many shops. And restaurants. And I'm loving it!
But more than anything, I'm loving being at home. No matter where I am in the world, I will always be missing my Don & thinking of him, praying for him, wishing he was already back home. But it's as though all my other worries have been left behind in Germany. I haven't even been having to sleep alone at night! It's it wonderful having sisters?! :)
Sorry that I've been off my regular blogging schedule. My Saturdays Around The World & their follow-up Featured Blogger of the Week posts have been neglected, but I assure you that they will start up again. Have no fear!
Don has been back for about a week & a half already. The time does go by. And the prayers do give me Peace! ♥
Time to get dressed, make a mani & pedi appointment for my Mom, sister & me, & then to see what the rest of the day holds! I hope that you all are enjoying yourselves this week! Thank you so much for all of your sweet sweet comments & words of encouragement! XO!

My Mom even put this beautiful new bedding in my room for me! Garnet Hill always has pretty bedding. Love it!!
And look at these Hunter Rain Boots & Liners that I found at Nordstrom! I've been wanting something like this so that when I walk my dogs & their little muddy paws step on my feet, I can just hose of my shoes to make them all clean again! So cute! Black with the zebra liner would be great, don't you think?!

I have successfully completed my first knitting project! I gotta say, I'm pretty pleased with myself! It was composed only of knit & purl stitches, but I finished it off without a hitch! Er, until I took it all off the needle & noticed a bit of a "boot" on the lower left side. Well, it adds to the charm, don't you think?! It was my first project, after all! And it did the trick of keeping my mind busy & passing the time, too! Added bonus. ♥
Now, I'm thinking that since I'm going to stick with this, I should upgrade from my cheap-o plastic "Starters For Kids" needles. There are some real beauties out there! These are my absolute favorite that I have found so far! Aren't they fantastic?! Plus, they come with a very pretty fabric case, complete with pink ribbon! I think I know what to ask for for my upcoming Birthday! {These are also gorgeous, but I don't think I'm ready to spend over $30 for one set of knitting needles!}
Not too shabby, if I do say so myself! I can clearly see the O pattern in the middle, so I successfully stayed with the pattern! Wahoo! If you want to learn without a class, like I did, then visit The Knit Witch! She's nice, I promise.

Here is a late-night {well, on German time!} find that I have to share with you all: the British based Alphabet Bags! Alright, you may have already seen these {they've been all over the press!}, but little old me just stumbled upon them for the first time! Now, this idea is quite simple, but it is the simple things in life that make it worth while, right? And who wouldn't want their initials sparkling across the front of a cute tote?! My dilemma is this: would I get a bag for my first name's initial or my last?! Either way, I'd of course choose the glitzy diamante! Yumm! How does yours look?! Oh, how lovely!
And at 12:30am, I'm off to bed with a sewing project completed: a Tiffany-blue curtain for my powder room window! Hooray for late night projects :) Hope that you all had a marvelous weekend!
Cute, aren't they? Makes me almost wish I was back in college so that I'd have books to tote around every day! And in case you don't want your bag to showcase your initial, Alphabet Bags also sells darling totes in other designs! And snap purses too!
