Don came home from the field a day early! It was wonderful! He texted me Saturday morning basically saying, Don't get your hopes up, but we might be home tonight! Of course, I planned my day according to him coming home that night, staying busy finishing up all the things I wanted to get done before he arrived. And I pretty much accomplished it all! Good thing, too, because he was ready to be picked up from Post at about 6:30!
His birthday was Sunday the 21st, & we spent the day relaxing together, snuggling on the sofa, & eating good food! I made brisket with homemade BBQ sauce, rosemary & garlic potatoes, & yummy salad, & German Chocolate Cake. We even had Champagne! It was a good day. And he had Monday off, which was fabulous!
Isn't it neat that when you are so in love, there is no need to go out each night? No need to go to parties or clubs. Just being together, wrapped in each other's arms, watching TV & talking about your day is all that you need! And all that you want.
I'm so glad that he is home! {The photo is from our trip to Prague last May. Although you can't see where we are, it's one of my favorites of the two of us! We were standing on the Charles Bridge, & it was gorgeous!} I hope that you all had an equally enjoyable & lovable weekend! ♥

oh my goodness, i can relate to almost every word in this post. i only get to see my love about a weekend a month now that i am away at school and all those feelings you describes I know them all too well. now, the upside of long distance is the minute you see them again and you want to do is run to them and never let them go :D. it also teaches us never to take out time together for granted, and that has never been a problem for us ;). the best of luck darling!

i love how you can write exactly how you feel and make me feel the same exact thing (not for your husband of course! haha) for LOVE and all that it does and all the power it holds. I really just adore the idea of couples who are TRULY in LOVE for better or for worst and the couples that are willing to sacrifice in order to keep that LOVE... It is so inspiring. As a young woman in a generation of more BOYS than Men, ratio wise, I feel sometimes hopeless in what is out there. LoL. But at the same time I know that God has his mighty hand over my life and the life of some man out there waiting to call me his beloved wife. I feel like I'm reading a clip out of an amazing fiction romance when you write about your man girl :). Like a good Nicholas Sparks, Or Francine Rivers book... ahhhh the bliss of love.. it really does spread.. infectious little thing it is..
